Bread + Butter is a small batch sourdough bakery, with bread made using 100% cultured butter from the in-house butter factory. The cafe and bakery is housed in an industrial warehouse that has been converted into a fun and functional space; a space for making and baking. This is a space of contrasts: of lightness and darkness, black and blacker, gold and white, art and food, new and old, metal and timber, of concrete and brick.
A canopy of sparkling gold hovers over the bakery held up with laminations of buttery natural Tasmanian Oak. Local furniture-makers, blacksmiths, designers and building materials complete the look.
