This recently-completed architectural project has transformed a modest 1900s workers’ cottage into a modern family residence. This house is a clever example of how an ordinary residence can be easily and cost-efficiently adapted to serve a new generation of owners’ needs and aspirations without significantly altering the streetscape. The design maximises the small plot by the living spaces to make the most of the the small courtyard garden at the rear.
