Architect: Unknown, Maguire Devine (2025)
Seventy years after her parents built the beloved waterfront home, the client entrusted Maguire & Devine to sensitively enhance this cherished place. The original living room framed mountain and river views, but only the small kitchen and bathroom faced north. By drawing a north-facing courtyard into the heart, the architects created a shallower plan, seamlessly linking kitchen and living with natural light. Patched myrtle floors, double-glazed timber windows, and carefully chosen joinery honour the home’s story—sunlit, warm, and unmistakably familiar.
