This renovation to a Federation-era weatherboard residence introduces a new open-plan lounge, kitchen, and dining volume articulated by a laminated timber triangulated roof structure. The expressed structural framework extends outward into the landscape, establishing a dynamic spatial dialogue between interior, exterior and existing Elm tree. Large operable glazed elements and deep overhangs mediate environmental conditions while visually and functionally dissolving the boundary between the built form and its natural context.
