Open Practice: Paul Wakelam Architect

Paul’s hybrid practice, Architecture Workshop, draws on 25 years across architecture, landscape, graphic design, sculpture, installation and sound design. He has collaborated extensively with choreographer Felicity Bott on theatre and site-specific productions in WA and Tasmania. Paul has contributed to award-winning buildings, successful competition entries, and taught as Design Studio Co-ordinator at UWA (2003–14). In 2020 he was shortlisted for the Australian Dance Award for Services to Dance and exhibited in Unsettling Queenstown at the 2023 Venice Architectural Biennale.
