Tucked on a tricky block with two street frontages, a slope and even a sewer line to navigate, Eleven Cato Avenue began life as a modest two-bedroom home with a generous north-facing deck. The owners dreamed of adding a light-filled art studio, one that could easily become a granny flat in future, while keeping things as sustainable and nature-connected as possible. The result is a clever design that maximises space without triggering full development hurdles.
