The Commission for the Conservation of Antarctic Marine Living Resources (CCAMLR) Secretariat occupies this historical building known locally as the original Hutchins School, Masonic Club or Christ College. This two-storey bluestone school building dating from 1846 features sandstone trimmings and a Tudor-Gothic style tower with an unusual façade including a major window (with tracery) at ground level and unequal gable-end roof. Additions were made in the 2000’s to accommodate CCAMLR’s Annual Meetings and staff offices.
