Built for Henry Colman Kesterton as a ‘gentleman’s residence’ in the gardened district of New Town, ‘Cliefden’ is a lovely example of a Colonial Georgian building. In the 1970s the stables were converted to offices, and have more recently been redeveloped by the Police Association of Tasmania, who this year are celebrating their centenary.
