A New Chapter for a Much-Loved Landmark
Step inside a much-loved Claremont landmark and discover how a nearly century-old school building has found a new life in the community.
Opened in 1924, the heritage-listed Inter-war school at 36 Cadbury Road was created through a unique partnership between Cadbury and the Education Department. For generations, it was a place of learning for local children and the families of Cadbury workers, becoming an important part of the community’s story.
Its simple brick form, gabled roofs and multi-paned windows remain a familiar feature of the streetscape.
Today, the building has been carefully restored and adapted by Circa Morris-Nunn Chua Architects, transforming its former classrooms into a contemporary GP clinic while retaining the character and details that connect it to its past.
Come and see how thoughtful adaptive reuse can give a much-loved building a new purpose — keeping its stories alive while creating a place for the community to thrive into the future.
