Lavada is a boutique spa that’s quietly tucked away in a courtyard on Hobart’s waterfront. Designed by Studio Ilk to create a sanctuary and retreat in the heart of the city, the spa is housed in a heritage-listed building and has been transformed into one of Hobart’s leading boutique wellness destinations.
Studio Ilk collaborated with local makers, including furniture designer Laura McCusker and ceramicist Ian Clare, to create a warm and luxurious oasis using a range of natural materials. Tasmanian Oak was selected as the feature timber, adding to the spa’s high-end and luxury aesthetic.
