What makes a home affordable?

With the cost of housing putting increasing pressure on Tasmanians, this is a question that matters to all of us. But the answer is far from simple.

Affordability is shaped by many things, from the cost of land and construction to planning, design, infrastructure, policy and the way housing is delivered. And while these challenges can feel complex, there are opportunities to do things differently.

Join a panel of local experts for an open conversation about what affordable housing really means and what it takes to create homes that are not only affordable, but safe, comfortable and well designed.

Hear different perspectives from across the housing sector and explore the role architects, designers, planners, policy makers, developers and communities can play in creating more housing choices for Tasmanians.

Come along, ask questions and be part of the conversation about one of the most important issues facing our communities: having a place to call home.
