The Springs has a fascinating history and is rich in archaeological sites that tell its story.  Led by Hobart City Council landscape architect David Beaver, the tour will take in the historic Exhibition and Rhododendron Gardens (1932) before reaching The Springs Hotel and early hut sites.

Extensive research by John and Maria Grist provides a timeline for the development of The Springs and has uncovered an extensive collection of historical photographs, which can be found on their kunanyi/Mt Wellington history website.
