This landmark site has undergone a major redevelopment, resulting in an architecture award-winning and historically rich hotel on Hobart’s waterfront. The site reveals three eras of design, from the history-filled hallways of the original 1840s building, the understated luxury of the 1940s Art Deco building, or the spectacular views of the Hobart waterfront from the contemporary Pavilion building.
The Tasman hotel embraces the character of its locale, integrating seamlessly with Hobart’s scenery and culture. Journey back in time on a walking tour of this architecturally diverse hotel.
Tours: Saturday 12 + Sunday 13 November, 11 am and 12 pm
Duration: 50 minutes
Note: Tours depart from the courtyard off 12 Murray Street – the plaza (through the arched entrance).
